Many of our members can't make it to our workshops;
others have significant disabilities that require continuous
assistance; others see gardening as a social activity and would like to make new
friends with a common interest.
Whatever the reason, our volunteer
program matches able-bodied gardeners with our members, to make gardening more accessible, and achievable. This work is conducted wherever our members are planting - window boxes, balconies, containers, backyards and community gardens.
DIGA volunteers lend a hand and, in doing so, connect members to the greater gardening
community on a regular basis.
