The Disability Foundation consists of six affiliated societies:

BC Mobility Opportunities Society (BCMOS)
BCMOS provides opportunities for people with disabilities to explore and experience the great outdoors. BCMOS offers everything from one-hour hikes, to half-day hikes, day hikes and overnight camping trips, as well as its Access Challenge program-a multi-day backcountry wilderness expedition that unites nondisabled individuals and people with disabilities into teams to participate in camping, hiking and mountaineering. BCMOS uses the TrailRider, a unique, multi-terrain, single-wheeled access vehicle that comes in two versions: one for adults and one for kids. The TrailRider is powered by two able-bodied individuals and leaves little or no environmental 'footprint.'

ConnecTra Society
ConnecTra works in partnership with people who have disabilities to reduce the barriers that may limit them in the contribution of their skills and abilities to the community and in their access to earning income. Its goal is to connect people with disabilities to the community at large on a number of levels. Individuals and businesses get involved to encourage and support participants with opportunities that help them to pursue interests and realize ambitions.

Disabled Independent Gardeners Association
The opportunity to participate in recreational activities like gardening is fundamental to the personal growth and development of all individuals. By nurturing and caring for plants and flowers, people feel needed, develop skills, build self-confidence, learn and grow. Unfortunately, people with disabilities face many obstacles to pursuing such opportunities. With this in mind, the Disabled Independent Gardeners Association (DIGA) was established.

Disabled Sailing Association of BC (DSA)
DSA promotes freedom and independence by providing people with disabilities the opportunity to leave their restrictions behind and actively participate in an exciting outdoor sport. Its key tool is the Martin 16, an unsinkable, maneuverable and fast sailboat built in Vancouver. In addition, a Sip 'n' Puff system allows even high-quadriplegics - those with little or no mobility below the neck - the opportunity to sail. DSA has affiliates in Victoria, Kelowna, and six other cities across Canada and the US.

Tetra Society of North America
Tetra brings volunteer engineers, designers, technicians and health professionals together with people with disabilities to create customized assistive devices that cannot be found in the marketplace. Tetra is a response to difficulties that people experience in their search for greater independence in their lives. Tetra has forty chapters across Canada and the US.

Vancouver Adapted Music Society (VAMS)
VAMS encourages the development of positive self-image and goal setting by providing the skills and equipment necessary for artists with disabilities to enhance their quality of life through music composition, performance and recreation. VAMS supports musicians through teaching, studio time, loan of instruments, and technical guidance and support, and has two music studios in Vancouver for recreational or professional purposes. VAMS also has affiliates in Victoria, New York and Los Angeles.
